VOLUNTEERS
The Mr. Roboto Project is an entirely volunteer-run and not-for-profit community space since November 12, 1999. We pride ourselves on our DIY approach to everything we do -- and you can do it yourself too! If you're looking for a space to create art the way you want, build community the way you need it, own what you do, escape corporate and social control, and make friends along the way, this is the space for you (or at least where you can start making that space). We're always open to new voices, because Roboto is what YOU make it.
We currently invite three volunteers to help at every show: two Gig Workers and one Photographer. Gig Workers help out by running ticket sales at the door, operating the soundboard, cleaning, and other key functions that makes the shows themselves happen. On the other hand, Photographers document shows and help us advertise them on social media. Both roles are vital to the space, and a lot of fun to do. If you're interested in either role, or have your own volunteering role you want to suggest, please join our Discord server or email the Volunteering Coordinator at [email protected] for more information.

MEMBERS
The Mr. Roboto Project is also a cooperatively-owned space, literally belonging to its members. Who are members? Hopefully, you!
As co-owners of the space, members are the decision-makers and stakeholders in everything Roboto. While day-to-day stuff is handled by our elected Board, members are the people who elect the Board, run for Board positions themselves, and vote on core issues at the space at our Monthly Meetings. Members also get certain benefits, such as a discounted rate when booking the space. You can receive an annual membership today, expiring a year from the day you receive it, by paying a $25 fee or volunteering five times. You can also receive a lifetime membership by paying a $100 fee. If you're interested, please contact our Membership & Outreach Coordinator at [email protected].

MONTHLY MEETINGS & OFFICE HOURS
Roboto holds regular public meetings to meet with our community and plan shows and projects, discuss issues at the spaces, and field all kinds of new ideas. We also just like hanging out.
Our Monthly Meeting takes place on the first Sunday of every month at 1:30 PM. At this time, the Board will update attendees on what's happening at the space, bounce around ideas, and conduct membership votes on policy changes. If you want more info on this month's meeting, or to suggest agenda items, please contact our Volunteering Coordinator at [email protected].
We also hold weekly Office Hours every Monday from 12 to 3 PM for casual co-working and questions. This is a great time to get know the people who run the space and flip through our Zine Library!
